Pump Duty Report

Postby Rob Leng » Fri Feb 19, 2010 2:48 pm

Currently when using a pump in a design there is no pump duty report available for the design. When you view the system duty report the pressure reported for the design is simply the pressure that you must enter into the water supply (ie -1) for irricad to work when using a pump. This is not the true system pressure requirement of the design. This then means that you must manually check the suction and discharge pipes connected to the pump using object info tool to find out what is the pump flow and pressures for the shifts which must then be written down so you can have a record of them (painfull).

I believe a pump duty report needs to be created (along the lines of the system duty report) which would report on the suction head, the discharge head & the total dynamic head for a pump when used in a design across all shifts and it should also display the shift flow rate for each shift.

Hi Rob

I've had a quick go at making a report as you describe, is this the sort of thing you are looking for?

To install it just download and unzip it into the Irricad reports sub-folder. Restart Irricad and it should appear under "Mainline" reports.

Gday Phil,
Thanks for the report, just had a play with it & it looks good.

Sorry for not replying sooner, i have not been on the forum for a while.

One thing though the pump name is not enabled in the report, it would be good to have that fixed if possible.

Thanks again, Rob.

Hi Rob

The pump "Name" is enabled in the report. I forgot to mention that it gets this from the "Attribute" field (V10 and later) of the pump (you enter the data via the <Attributes> button on the dialog. It's done this way so you can differentiate between identical pumps in different places on the design.

Regards
